Man Facing Terrorism Charge After Placing 911 Call Threatening Employer, Another Business
AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - A 39-year-old Flint man is facing a felony charge of making a false report or threat of terrorism at two Auburn Hills businesses, including his place of employment.
Reginald Antwuan Badon was arraigned via video at the 52/3 District Court before Magistrate Nicolas Camargo, who set bond at $150,000 cash.
The Auburn Hills Police Department say they received a 911 call at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Monday from Badon, who was making threats to do harm at Inalfa Systems on Pacific Drive and Flexible Products on Auburn Court.
Officers responded to both locations and began an investigation. Inalfa Systems chose to evacuate their building, while Flexible Products put their buildings on lock-down.
The threats also caused Avondale High and Auburn Elementary schools, located near Flexible Products, to go into precautionary lockdowns.
The investigation eventually led to Badon, who was working at Airboss Flexible Products.
No one was injured in the incident, which remains under investigation.
Badon remains lodged at the Oakland County Jail. If convicted as charged, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
