Man Enters Plea In Stripping Of Dead Teens' Car
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A 39-year-old Detroit man has pleaded guilty to stripping the car of two Westland teenagers whose bodies later were found in an east side field.
Casey Green was sentenced Tuesday in Wayne County Circuit Court to one year in jail followed by three years' probation for larceny from a motor vehicle and obstruction of justice.
Police say Green and 41-year-old Larry Anderson, whose trial is set for January, stripped a car belonging to 18-year-old Jacob Kudla and cleaned it with bleach to hide their fingerprints.
The car was found behind a west side apartment building with its sound system was removed the day after Kudla and 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish went missing. Their bodies were found five days later in an overgrown field near City Airport, along Lyford Street at French Road on Detroit's east side. Both were found in 3- to 5-foot-high vegetation, dressed only in undergarments, with a gunshot wound to the head.
No arrests have been made in the slayings. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
