Man Ejected From Van After Accident
Southfield (WWJ)- A Pontiac man is hospitalized after he was thrown out of a van during an accident early Sunday morning.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Department says the driver of the conversion van, 32-year old Talisha Turner, lost control of the vehicle while driving eastbound on Huron Street near Paddock. The van went off the road and hit a guardrail. The impact caused the passenger in the van, 42-year old Robert Turner, to be ejected.
Authorities say Robert Turner, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital by the Pontiac Fire Department. He was listed in stable condition. Talisha Turner was treated for minor injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt.
Investigators say alcohol use is not a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.
