Man Dies After Being Thrown From Motorcycle
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - A 36-year-old Roseville man has died following a motorcycle crash on Gratiot Ave. Monday night.
Police said the victim was riding northbound on Gratiot when a 20-year-old Roseville women allegedly rolled through a stop sign in a Pontiac Grand Prix and was broadsided by the motorcycle.
The man was thrown approximately 15 feet striking the pavement head first. Police said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. He was taken off life support on Tuesday.
The driver of the Grand Prix, who was uninjured, said she didn't see the on-coming bike.
Roseville police are continuing to investigate the crash and their findings will be presented to the Macomb County Prosecutors Office for review. Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs involved.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
