Man Charged With Shooting Cop
A Detroit man has been charged with allegedly shooting a DPD officer.
On Saturday Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged a 38 -year-old Detroit man in connection with the shooting of a Detroit Police narcotics officer this week during a drug raid at a house on Gable St. near McNichols and Mound.
The officer was shot trying to enter the home but the bullet was stopped by the officers protective vest.
He was later treated and released from a local hospital with a shoulder wound.
The suspect will be arraigned on Sunday at 36th District Court. His name has not been released.
