Man Charged As Accessory After The Fact In Detroit Mom's Murder Bound Over For Trial
DETROIT (WWJ) - Emotions ran high, spilling over outside the courtroom on Wednesday after a judge ruled a man who was allegedly an accessory to a Detroit mother's murder will go to trial.
Timothy Jones, 27, waived his right to a preliminary examination and was bound over Wednesday before Judge Ruth Carter in 36th District Court.
Jones' attorney's request to have his $50,000 bond reduced was rejected.
Authorities say Jones helped Erin Justice cover up the murder of 28-year-old Alicia Fox, Justice's wife, after the fact. Fox's body was found in an abandoned home earlier this month.
Police believe Fox's husband, 26-year-0ld Erin Justice, shot and killed her. Charged with first-degree murder, Justice is currently being held in an Atlanta, Georgia jail, awaiting extradition to Michigan.
Meantime, police continue to search for the couple's two children: 6-year-old Kayla and 8-month-old Kristian.
The kids haven't been seen since before Fox's body was found in an abandoned Detroit home, and Detroit Police Chief James Craig said investigators have no idea of they're dead or alive.
Jones will be back in court on July 2.
