Man Arrested After Abduction, Standoff In Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - One man is in custody following an alleged abduction and police standoff Wednesday afternoon.
According to Detroit police, a 26-year-old man gave himself up to authorities after he kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and her young son.
That's after, police said, the man hit the woman's vehicle in the area of Cadieux and Mack on the city's east side, just before 11 a.m. He then took the woman to a home near Kelly and 8 Mile Road where the man challenged police in a standoff.
No one was hurt.
The suspect's name was not immediately released.
