Man And Grandson Injured After Boat Explodes In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Crews are on the scene in Detroit where a man and his grandson were injured when a boat they were working on exploded.

Authorities confirmed to WWJ Newsradio 950 that the boat blew up when it was started on Friday night. Fire crews responded to the scene to control a resulting fire near Boston Boulevard and Broadstreet Avenue.

Both were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
