Man Allegedly Shot In Detroit, Drove To Fraser
FRASER (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a 22-year-old man turned up at a gas station with a gunshot wound.
It happened at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on 14 Mile Road near Groesbeck in Fraser.
The man had been shot in the back and he was sitting in the driver's seat of the car, according to police.
The passenger in the car— a second young man — told officers someone had shot at their vehicle in Detroit, and they kept driving north to find a hospital. Eventually, he said, they decided to pull over. That's when they spoke to a gas station clerk who called police.
The victim was taken to McClaren Hospital where his condition was unknown Tuesday afternoon.
There was no information immediately available about where in Detroit the shooting allegedly occurred.
Detroit police have taken over the investigation and are looking into the passenger's claims.
