MagneGas Starts Michigan Operations, Adds Customer
TAMPA, Fla. -- MagneGas Corp. (OTCBB: MNGA), the developer of technology that converts liquid waste into a hydrogen-based metalworking fuel and natural gas alternative, announced Tuesday that it has initiated formal operations in Michigan.
The company said it completed installation of its 300-kilowatt refinery in southeast Michigan and has obtained necessary permits to begin operations.
MagneGas also announced its first Michigan customer, Troy-based Ajax Paving Industries Inc., which has begun its initial rotation of MagneGas fuel as it switches from acetylene to MagneGas throughout its manufacturing plants in Michigan. Ajax has asphalt plants in New Haven, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, Romulus, Brighton and Warren. Ajax also offers mobile concrete plants and six asphalt plants in Florida.
Metal cutting is an important segment of Ajax's overall business, and as a cost reducing and performance enhancing measure, Ajax has agreed to begin rotations of MagneGas cylinders for metal working in one of its Michigan locations with plans to expand across all locations.
