Macomb County Officials Investigate Likely Murder-Suicide In Lenox Township
LENOX TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- The Macomb County Sheriff's Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Lenox Township.
Deputies say the bodies of a man and his wife were found in a home on Place Road, near I-94 and 26 Mile Road on Friday. The victims are believed to be a 55-year-old male and 47-year-old female. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Captain John Roberts told WWJ Newsradio 950 that authorities received an emergency call just after 1 p.m. Friday afternoon regarding the house in Lenox Township.
"On deputies arrival, they found a husband and wife deceased in the home," Roberts said. "Investigation appears that it's a murder-suicide situation. However, the investigation is ongoing to gather all of the information that we can and to also do notification for the families."
No further details are being released at this time.
