Macomb County Launches New Website
MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - It's a brand new effort to market Macomb County online.
County Executive Mark Hackel is rolling out the website "Make Macomb Your Home" -- part of a marketing campaign aimed at drawing more residents, visitors and investments to the area.
"We want to make sure people understand the value that we have in Macomb County, but first we had to understand, brand it, and then start to market it," Hackel said.
"We're starting to get out from underneath people just thinking Macomb County's just out there and nobody wants to talk about it," he said. "I wanna talk about it. I'm proud of it and I wanna show the whole world what we have to offer.
"But the people living in Macomb County gotta understand what they're all about, and really what this county's about. And I think we're really starting to get that message out," Hackel said.
Three billboards have been posted with the "Make Macomb Your Home" logo.
Two are within the county along I-696 and along Hall Road. The third can be seen along I-75 by those en route to Mackinac Island for this week's leadership conference.
