Macomb County Circuit, Probate Courts Launch New Web Site
MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) -- The Macomb County Circuit and Probate courts have launched a new court information Web site called eAccess.
The site, at http://macombgov.org/pa, is part of a new line of eServices offered by North Canton, Ohio-based CourtView Justice Solutions, the court's current case management system provider. eAccess will replace the court's current public access website. eAccess is compatible with current web browser technology including availability through mobile devices.
"The new eAccess web portal allows us to respond to our constituents' desire for immediate access to case information," said John Foster, chief judge of Macomb County Circuit and Probate courts. "eAccess users can gain electronic access from virtually anywhere with a smart phone or tablet device."
The new application was launched by the Macomb County Information Technology Department in collaboration with the court on last Thursday.
eAccess will function in today's most commonly used browsers. eAccess has been tested and supports the use of Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 8 or later, Google Chrome Version 24 or later and Mozilla Firefox Version 3 or later. eAccess is also known to work with Apple's browser Safari across Mac computers, iPads, iPhones and iPod touches.
eAccess users can search by case number, case type, file date, party/company name, date of birth, party type, case status or attorney name and bar number. Once a case has been located, general case information and case details such as dockets, parties, charges, events, financials and receipts are available. Users can see all information on a case at once or isolate information by subject matter tabs. Sealed cases, confidential information and images of documents will not be available.
