Locals Celebrate The Exit Of Murbarak
DEARBORN (WWJ) - Several people of Egyptian decent and local Arab-Americans gathered in Dearborn to celebrate the exit of Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak.
The group gathered at the Lebanese American Heritage Club Friday evening to celebrate the departure of Mubarak.
"Today we witness the rise of the sphinx, the rise of the young - the believers - the people who believe in their destiny," said Osama Siblani publisher of the Arab-American News told the crowd gathered.
Many gathered Friday hope that destiny in Egypt will be democracy.
Ahmad Ali came from Alexander Egypt in 1999; "I can not describe the joy and pleasures that I am feeling now, I have been living most of my life in Egypt and have been through most of what these people have been through before, I've been through the injustice, through the corruption, I've been unemployed for a very long time," Ali said.
