Local DTE Crews Still On East Coast
DETROIT (WWJ) - Local DTE crews are still on the East Coast helping to restore power to the over one million customers who lost their electricity during the weekend's snow storms.

DTE's Scott Simon says they sent out 10 of their crews as well as six contract crews who work with them year-round. They are working with First Energy in New Jersey.
Simon says he hasn't seen anything this bad happen before in October.
"The leaves were still on the tree that held the snow on the trees, and that's what caused all the weight from the snow caused the trees and branches to come down, so it's a really a mess out there," Simon told WWJ's Pat Sweeting.
Simon says the crews will stay on the East Coast until they are no longer needed.
