Local Businesses Enjoy Auto Show Rush
The North American International Auto Show kicks off with a media preview on Monday, but WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fisher reports it's already a hit with some businesses in downtown Detroit.
The Motor City Casino-Hotel is booked solid for the next four days, according to the vice president of hotel operations, Randy Villareal.
"We are seeing great increase in business over the prior three years,to be honest with you, it's been fantastic, although everything seemed to book a little later than normal, however they are coming in full force and they are coming in from all over the world." Said Villareal.
Villareal says they're providing shuttles for auto show guests. He says every hotel downtown is pretty booked over the next few days because of the auto show and it'll help out restaurants and parking lots downtown too.
