The Livonia Police Department is thrilled to announce our newest recruit! This 12-week-old Golden Doodle puppy will be the department’s first Police Therapy Dog!
This little guy has joined his handler, Sergeant Stacy Hayne, in the Office of Professional Standards. His primary functions will include engagement with the community, providing comfort in assisting with interviews involving children or victims of traumatic events as well as offering support to the Livonia first responders after critical incidents.
The puppy joins our crisis clinician, Caitlin Witt, in our efforts to provide the best possible assistance to those in need of support.
There is just one thing left to do……our puppy needs a name! Please look for an additional post on how to help us pick a name.
