Livio Radio, Grooveshark Featured In FCC Tech Experience Center
Ferndale-based Livio Radio, manufacturers of no-hassle Internet radios for home and car, and Gainesville, Fla.-based Grooveshark, an online music search engine, music streaming service and music recommendation software application, announced the inclusion of their Internet radio products in the Federal Communications Commission Technology Experience Center.
The FCC TEC is a new, on-site technology lab that will provide FCC employees and invited guests hands-on experience with the latest communications devices and solutions.
"Today's world of technology is always changing, and we are establishing the Technology Experience Center to allow FCC employees to keep pace with this change," said Steven VanRoekel, the FCC's managing director.
Livio Radio will showcase its recent line of car Internet radio products in the current and future sections of the FCC TEC. Their products include the Livio Car Internet Radio app, the Carmen, DICE Electronics' DICE Silverline Duo Integration Kit and the unreleased Livio Bluetooth Internet Radio Car Kit.
"The American way of innovation is being threatened," said Jake Sigal, Livio Radio founder and CEO. "Being featured in the FCC TEC is really something that's beyond Livio Radio, as we're not only representing Livio Radio, but also our vendors, customers and competitors."
As his company did with the development of its Livio Bluetooth Internet Radio Car Kit, Sigal continues to look to the future.
"As a member of the Consumer Electronics Association and iMovement (Innovation Movement), we're supporting and lobbying to make additional spectrum available for the innovative uses of today and tomorrow at this event and on Capitol Hill," Sigal said.
Livio Radio partner Grooveshark will also be featured in the current sections, displaying its on-demand music streaming service.
The FCC TEC's grand opening is Wednesday, July 13.
