Livingston County Man Facing Child Porn Charges
A Livingston County man is in custody on child pornography charges. Police say 52 year-old Marcus Wilson was arrested at his home on charges of producing, possessing and transporting child pornography after an investigation in Detroit and Dallas by federal agents.
Investigators say Wilson exchanged pornographic material, including video chats, emails and instant messages, with a man in the Dallas area who fingered Wilson as the provider of the child porn.
According to the investigation, Wilson and the other man would pose their respective children in a sexually explicit manner during web-based video chat sessions so the other could observe.
A search of data storage devices confirmed the finding, according to the complaint.
"All children have an absolute right to grow up free from the fear of sexual abuse and exploitation, and especially from those they trust" said Brian M. Moskowitz, Special Agent in Charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in Detroit, in a statement. "Sadly, today's technology in the hands of a predator with access to children has put our children at greater risk than ever before."
Wilson remains jailed. He's due back in court next Monday for a detention hearing.
