ALLEN PARK (CBS DETROIT) - Jim Schwartz's return to Detroit could happen on a holiday, if a leaked schedule is to be believed.

While the full NFL schedule is not expected to be released for another week or so, a post on the Buffalo Bills website entitled "13 Things To Know About 2014 Opponents" had the following description.

"Buffalo and Detroit will meet for the 10th time in the regular season in 2014. The Bills have played in eight previous Thanksgiving Day games (4-4) in team history with their last appearance on Turkey Day coming in 1994."

With that, the question of whom the Lions will play on Thanksgiving Day appears to be answered, at least unofficially.

Schwartz, now the defensive coordinator for the Bills, spent the last five seasons as head coach of the Lions before getting fired after the team's 2014 collapse concluded.

Last year's Thanksgiving Day game turned out to be one of the bright spots for Detroit in what devolved into an increasingly troublesome season. The Lions walloped the Green  Bay Packers, 40-10, in the holiday game in 2013. It was the first time Detroit had won its Thanksgiving Day matchup since 2003.
