Lions Turn To Unsung QB Shaun Hill To Carry Team
Lions second-string quarterback Shaun Hill was never really supposed to have a chance in the NFL.
In high school, Hill was more successful in basketball than he was in football. He was hardly recruited and attended community college for two years, then started only one season after he transferred to Maryland.
In the NFL, Hill went undrafted and barely played a snap his first five years in the league.
Hill's side-arm, short-arm throwing motion is textbook unorthodox. Coach Jim Schwartz has said "it doesn't always look pretty" and "it's never the same twice."
