Lions' Schwartz Praises Detroit Police
DETROIT (CBSDetroit) - The coach of the Lions is showing some love to Detroit's other boys in blue.
Jim Schwartz took time to recognize the Detroit Police Department after some officers came out to Lions practice on Monday.
"Our guys go out to do their job, they got a chance of pulling a hamstring, you know, or ... gettin' a stinger in their neck or, you know, breaking a finger or doing something like that," said Schwartz.
"Those guys, those guys, put their life on the line every day they go to work -- and they do that for the citizens of Detroit. We've got a lot of respect for that," he said.
Schwartz made the comments at the post-practice press briefing.
