Lions Reportedly Looking At More Running Backs
By Matt Dery
It appears the search for help at running back is still on in Allen Park. According to CBS Sports's Jason LaCanfora, Detroit will workout Steve Slaton and Ryan Grant this week. Slaton, the former Texan and Dolphin, has been out of football since being released by Miami in August. Slaton played in just three games last season, gaining 64 yards.
Grant, the longtime Packers running back, has not been on a football field with a team since last season. The Lions had talks with his agent this summer, but there was no deal to be made. Grant is 29 yrs old.
The Lions need to make a decision this week with its 53 man roster.
Mikel LeShoure can be reinstated after a two game suspension.
