Lions Name Their Team Captains

The Lions wrapped up their work week today in Allen Park with a final practice before they hit the road for Tampa on Sunday. Kyle Vanden Bosch as expected practiced once again and is ready to go.

Dominic Raiola along with Matthew Stafford, Jason Hanson and Vanden Bosch were named the Lions team captains today by Jim Schwartz.

NFL analyst and former Titans RB Eddie George picked the Lions to not only make the playoffs but win the NFC North this season.

Plaxico Burress took some shots at his old coach, the now Jets wide receiver tells men's journal that Tom Coughlin showed no concern for his health when Plaxico accidently shot himself in the leg 2 years ago. Burress adds that when he finally spoke to his coach Coughlin's first words to him were, quote I'm glad you didn't kill anybody unquote.

College football tomorrow night, first night game in the history of the Big House Michigan hosts Notre Dame and looking to drop the Irish to 0-2 to start the season.

Brady Hoke told a national radio show today that he has his pregame speech to his team for tomorrow scripted and that there will be no guests in the locker room for the pregame. Hoke will be the only one talking. Hear the game on The Ticket and WWJ 950 tomorrow night at 8.

A Noon start for Michigan State, Spartans bring in Florida Atlantic.

Tigers go for their 7th straight win, Detroit at home tonight to face the Twins. Brad Penny against Kevin Slowey, 6:40 on the ticket.
