Lions Land Linebacker Chris White By Trading Thaddeus Lewis

Just days before the Detroit Lions face the Buffalo Bills in the final game of preseason, the Lions traded quarterback Thaddeus Lewis to Buffalo for linebacker Chris White.
White, whom the Bills drafted out of Mississippi State in 2010, played seven games in 2011 and 15 in 2012. He joins nine other linebackers trying to make the cut with the Lions as NFL teams whittle rosters closer to 53 for Saturday's deadline.
Two of the linebackers hoping to make the team are rookies, Brandon Hepburn and Jon Morgan. Travis Lewis, Chris White and Tahir Whitehead have each been in the NFL are entering at least their second season. Stephen Tulloch, DeAndre Levy, Ashlee Palmer and Rocky McIntosh are the most senior of the group.
