Lions Keep DE Ansah Active After His Concussion
DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Lions have activated Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah after listing him as probable to play against the Minnesota Vikings because of a concussion.
Ansah, the No. 5 overall pick in this year's NFL draft, is expected to back up defensive end Willie Young on Sunday. He had a concussion after colliding with a teammate in practice Aug. 24, and didn't travel to Detroit's final preseason game in Buffalo.
The Lions have made running back Mikel Leshoure a healthy scratch and also list receiver Ryan Broyles among the inactives. They're slowly bringing Broyles back after he had surgery on his right knee.
Minnesota plans to start Letroy Guion in place of defensive tackle Kevin Williams, who was previously ruled out because of his injured right knee.
