Lions' Jon Jansen Expects 18-Game NFL Season To Be A Reality
Jon Jansen can sense the momentum building for an 18-game NFL schedule, and as the Lions' Players Association representative, he doesn't think anything can be done to stop it.
"I think we're looking at something that, whether it happens next year, two years, five years, it's going to happen sooner or later so let's work on the benefits package and see if we can change some of those things, and then we'll see if we can come to an agreement on everything," Jansen said.
The push toward an expanded regular season picked up steam during the NFL owners' five-hour league meeting Wednesday in Atlanta.
