Lions Home Opener Sells Out
Thanks to a 24 hour extension given by the NFL, the Detroit Lions home opener against the Philadelphia Eagles will be televised.
The last 2,000 tickets were sold Friday morning, ahead of the 1 p.m. extended deadline set by the league.
Normally, a team must have a sellout 48 hours before the game in order to televise it to the local market.
Last year, the Lions had four TV blackouts.
Kickoff for Sunday's game is at 1 p.m.
