Lions Believe They Have Something Special Going On

Not in their wildest dreams did the Lions think they'd be 4-0 going into their first Monday Night Football game since 2000.

And not in anybody's wildest dreams could the Lions win back-to=back road games after falling behind by 20 points in Minnesota and, on Sunday, 24 points in Dallas.

"There's definitely something special going on here," defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch said after the Lions' 34-30 win. "I like the attitude and the fight of this team. There aren't many teams that would've kept believing and kept fighting. Nobody is going to roll over and quit, but we kept saying, 'We just need a big play, just need a big play.' And we got it."

It was the Lions' eighth straight win, the first such streak since the 1953 and 1954 seasons. It was their fifth straight road win, something that's never been done in franchise history.

They are 4-0 in a season for the first time since 1980.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught two more touchdowns - including the game-winner from the 2-yard line - making him the only player in NFL history to catch two touchdown passes in each of the first four games of the season.

"The biggest thing is, everybody believes that no matter what happens, there's a chance," said left tackle Jeff Backus.

The two undefeated teams left are from the NFC North: The Lions and Packers. The Bears will come to Ford Field Monday with a 2-2 record.

"This has been a tough four games," said quarterback Matthew Stafford. "We played three of four on the road and now we come home to play the Bears on Monday night. But if you are 4-0 after the first quarter of the season, I mean, you can't do better than that."
