Lines Growing Longer At Detroit Metro Airport
Following the winter blizzard along the east coast, those stranded at airports across the nation have done more than pack their patience.
At Detroit Metro Tuesday morning, there were even more travelers than there were Monday at the McNamara Terminal. There were scores of people in lines for boarding passes, in lines for luggage check and in lines for security. All of them waiting, hoping for a seat on a plane that would take them to their destination.
Floyd Black of Springfield, Illinois was among those going nowhere fast. "I sat here all day yesterday; they said standby today, and maybe we can get out today. We don't know," Black told WWJ's Ron Dewey.
With backups in the system from this past weekend's storms, some travelers still may not make it to their destinations until the end of this week.
