Lincoln Park Man Dies After Ocean Rescue At Va. Beach
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WWJ/AP) - A Michigan man has died two days after a surfer rescued him from the ocean at Virginia Beach.
Police say 76-year-old Joseph Gall of Lincoln Park died Tuesday at a local hospital. The cause of death hasn't been determined.
Gall was with a group of people Sunday when they began struggling in the water at the Oceanfront. A surfer pulled Gall from the water.
It's the second death in that area in a month. On July 1, 10-year-old Lakee Copeland of Chesapeake drowned after he stepped off a sandbar.
