Lemonade Stand Thief Caught
The final teenage boy behind a lemonade stand robbery in Pontiac earlier this month has been arrested Monday.
Police told WWJ Keyon Lamar Miller, 17, of Pontiac, was picked up at his home on Friday and charged with "larceny from a person." Miller and two accomplices allegedly stole up to $40 from four girls at the stand.
Miller was arraigned Sunday on a $2,000 bond. The two other teens were turned into police.
According to the Detroit News, Miller is believed to be the one who looked down into the cash box, grabbed it, and ran. The emptied box was found discarded nearby, police said.
Keith Aldrich said he will ask prosecutors to consider child endangerment charges against the three teenage boys who robbed the stand hosted near his home by his 9-year-old twin girls, 9-year-old stepdaughter and 6-year-old granddaughter.
Aldrich told The Oakland Press the children were "having the time of their life'' until the teens walked up and stole a cash box containing $40.
He said the children refused to come outside after the incident.
The family plans another lemonade sale July 31 at the same location.
