LEAP Leads Export Mission To Germany
LANSING -- Are you a business that wants a sure-fire way to increase your profits? Exporting may be your answer. But perhaps you need training, resources, and money to assist you. Consider the State Trade Export Promotion program and targeting Germany with your colleagues, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lansing Economic Area Partnership and the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
Trade volume, number of consumers, and the geographic location of Germany at the heart of a 27-member European Union make it a cornerstone around which many U.S. firms seek to build their European and worldwide expansion strategies. The industries being targeted for the mission are automotive, drug and pharmaceutical, information technology, machining and tooling, medical equipment, renewable energy, and plastics.
"It is vital to our region that LEAP aggressively insert itself into the forefront of working with global companies on behalf of our region," said LEAP president and CEO, Bob Trezise. "By leading a mission with our partners like this on behalf of the companies in the State, we can continue to affirm our place in the global market."
"Germany is Michigan's fourth-largest export trading partner with nearly $1.8 billion in export revenue," said Tim Daman, President and CEO of the LRCC. "This is a great opportunity for Greater Lansing businesses to expand their reach into the European market."
The mission package is $6,500 with deposit required by April 12. The delegation would arrive in Frankfurt on June 9, Munich on June 13 departing for the U.S. on June 14. Interested business representatives are asked to contact Ray De Winkle, SVP Global Business Development at LEAP, ray@purelansing.com for more information or to register.
