Leach's Lists: Who Is Going To Win The NBA MVP?

LeBron James has been on fire, Chris Paul just showed the world how phenomenal he is playing at the All-Star game, Kevin Durant has been taking over games, Kobe has been, well Kobe. There might be a long way to go in the NBA regular season, but those four are making quite a case for winning the MVP award.

Let's take a look at the top four as of right now and their odds to win the MVP

4-Kobe Bryant- +$250 26.8 ppg 5.3 rpg 5.6 apg- Bryant is once again near the top in all statistical categories and has been a huge reason that the Lakers haven't literally fallen off the NBA map this season. The problem is the "Show" might not even make the playoffs and are not having a good year by any stretch of the imagination. Whether fair or not that will definitely hurt his chances.

3-Chris Paul +$200- 16.6 ppg 3.4 rpg 9.6 apg Paul just showed the World and the rest of the NBA that he is playing his best basketball by winning the All-Star game MVP. His team though is what is more impressive as the Clippers are a drop dead NBA title contender and it is Paul's play and leadership that has them on the cusp of history.

2-Kevin Durant- +$150 29.2 ppg 7.4 rpg 4.4 apg- The "Durantula" leads the NBA in scoring, his Thunder team is playing some of the best basketball in the NBA, and he is hungrier than ever after losing in the Finals last season to LeBron and the Heat. While all four on this list have a viable chance to win MVP, I think Durant is the only one who is truly close enough to knock off James from the MVP perch if he continues to play the way he did late in the first half of the season.

1-Lebron James -$125- 27.3 ppg 8.2 rpg 6.9 apg what can you say about James other then he has been historic this season. He is almost averaging a double-double and just came off scoring 30 plus and shooting better than 60% from the field for six straight games. An NBA record. He has the look in his eyes that he will not be stopped and lately hasn't been. James is having a season for the record books and unless something drastic happens it will be hard for him not to win this award when all is said and done.

DTM's Pick- James- Even though the best value is with Paul, LeBron has just been magical and I do not see it slowing down as he seems unbelievably motivated this season to get another ring.
