And....here.....we....go! The dream men's final as become a reality at the All-England Lawn and Tennis Club as the world's top two players have traversed through what has been a truly wacky Wimbledon on both sides to set up what should be a Final to remember.
Djokovic firmly the best player in the World now will be going for his 7th Grand Slam Title and second Wimby crown.
Great Britain's Great Hope, Andy Murray is looking to break the 77 year old drought for a British man to take tome tennis's most prestigious title(Fred Perry 1936).
Murray was here last year and lost to Roger Federer in a match that showed that Murray simply wasn't truly ready for the moment yet. He showed he was ready for it just a short month later as he won the Olympic gold in front of some of the most raucous and passionate crowds Wimbledon had ever seen at the London Olympics.
Then went on to win his first major at the Us Open in September. Both men know what it takes and have shown they can do it , now the question becomes can Murray rise to the moment with seemingly an entire country begging, pleading for him to win "their" championship.
Both men have looked excellent during the fortnight, but were tested in high fashion during the Semi's. Murray got down early to the upstart 23-seed Jerzy Janowicz and looked like he might be in big trouble down a a set and a break in the second, but played flawless tennis from there and dispatched him in four sets.
Djokovic had a much tougher time in his Semi as 8-seed Juan Martin Del Potro simply would not go away, throwing everything he had at the World's number one. In the end Djokovic was just too much in the longest Wimby Men's Semi ever.
PREDICTION (BASED ON A 1-10 STRAWBERRIES AND CREME FROZEN IN TIME TAKE HOME TREAT )
8.6 TAKE HOME TREATS ON MURRAY IN 5 EPIC SETS -The time has FINALLY come for Great Britain to call one of their own champion again. Most were not alive when Fred Perry made his home country proud back in 36' , but the echoes of that great champion will be woken up on Championship Sunday.
Murray has truly progressed over the past year, with the help of coach and former champ Ivan Lendl, to be ready for this moment and not let it slip by again. Murray's all around game is one of the few that can match Joker's when both are playing at their best and this is going to be an absolute war.
Both players will have tremendously high moments as well as moments that give their belief pause. Look for Murray to just rise to the occasion a few more times when it matters most in a Final that will put on display just how special the Men's game is right now.
