Large Crowd Arrives At Closing Borders Bookstore
DEARBORN (WWJ) - It was a packed house inside the borders book store in Dearborn for the company's liquidation sale. The entire stock of merchandise has been discounted 20 to 40 percent off as part of the Ann Arbor based company's bankruptcy reorganization plan.
"It's good sales, hoping to get some early Christmas shopping done. I've got a lot of friends who are readers and I think it's a good opportunity to start early." says Peggy from Wayne.
One customer says she felt like a vulture picking through the deep discounted merchandise saying she hates to see this Borders store closed.
The 3 other stores closing their doors for good are in Grosse Point, Utica and in Ann Arbor.
