Lakeshore Express To Offer Same-Day Flights To Chicago
WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) -- Lakeshore Express, the airline based at Oakland County International Airport flying between Detroit, Pellston and Chicago, announced that it will begin offering same-day flight service from Oakland County to Chicago Midway Airport on Thursdays and Fridays, allowing Detroit-area business travelers to fly out at 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. the same day.
The new service will begin Nov. 1, airline officials said.
There will also be Monday morning flights between both locations. In addition, Lakeshore will continue to run its Sunday service, addressing both the business and leisure markets.
Fares will remain at $149 one-way. And with flights out of private terminals at Chicago Midway (MDW) and Oakland County International Airport (PTK) business travelers will be able to avoid the congestion and hassle of check-in, security screening and boarding.
