Knicks Blank Pistons 103-80
DETROIT (WWJ) - A second quarter meltdown by the Detroit Pistons gave the New York Knicks a lead they would not relinquish in the 103-80 loss at The Palace on Saturday night.
Brandon Knight put in 19 points and 4 rebounds and Greg Monroe had 15 for the Pistons - in the lopsided loss to the Knicks.
The Pistons could not put together a run against New York during an evening of missed opportunities for Detroit.
New Yorks' Amar'e Stoudemire had a game high 22 points and 7 rebounds as Mike Bibby contributed 16 points from the bench.
The struggling Pistons were shooting 37% from the field and made only 9 - 3 pointers - of 26 attempts. Detroit allowed 20 turnovers which didn't help matters in the second half.
