Kistler North America, Kettering U Host "Co-op: Up Close" Feb. 27
FLINT -- The Kistler North America Technical Center will co-host "Co-op: Up Close" on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. in conjunction with Kettering University.
The technical center is at 30280 Hudson Drive in Novi.
Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision sensors, systems and instrumentation for the dynamic measurement of pressure, force, torque and acceleration. "Co-op: Up Close" is a free science and engineering event, offering high school student participants a unique opportunity to better understand the benefits of cooperative education.
During the two-hour session, participants will have an opportunity to tour Kistler's laboratories and ask questions of Kettering co-op students. Kettering staff will also be on-hand to provide information and answer questions.
Kettering offers innovative, hands-on education in engineering, math, science and business disciplines. The "Kettering Advantage" program balances highly targeted experiential learning with professional cooperative education, creating a formula in which students alternate between in-classroom learning and full-time co-op employment. As a result, "Kettering Advantage" graduates simultaneously earn a degree and relevant hands-on industry experience. Kistler North America is one of more than 500 corporate participants in the "Kettering Advantage."
