Kirk Cousins 2011 Manning Award Finalist
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma's Landry Jones, Brandon Weeden of Oklahoma State and Arkansas' Tyler Wilson are among the 10 finalists for the 2011 Manning Award.
USC's Matt Barkley; Kirk Cousins of Michigan State; Baylor's Robert Griffin III; Houston's Case Keenum; Stanford's Andrew Luck; Boise State's Kellen Moore and Russell Wilson of Wisconsin also made the list released on Wednesday.
Weeden racked up 4,277 passing yards during the 2010 season and was ranked sixth nationally with 32 touchdown passes. Jones is first on the Oklahoma career passing yards list with 11,968 yards, and ranks third nationally with 368.4 yards per game.
This season, Wilson has passed for 3,422 yards and 22 touchdowns.
The award is presented annually to the nation's top quarterback. The winner is scheduled to be announced on Jan. 18.
