Kilpatrick Strikes Out At Appeals Court
The Michigan Court of Appeals says it won't hear an appeal from former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick who is in prison for violating probation.
A three-judge panel said Wednesday there's a "lack of merit'' to the case.
The decision means Kilpatrick will be in prison at least until next summer unless the state Supreme Court intervenes.
He was sent to prison for failing to report assets and turn over more money to further reduce his $1 million restitution to Detroit.
