Killer On The Loose: Crime Stoppers Offers Reward In Deandre Shaw Murder
Detroit (WWJ) - The search continues for the person who killed a Detroit man earlier this year. Crime Stoppers is asking for your help.
On Monday, February 25th, 2013, 38 year old Deandre Shaw was found murdered on Detroit's west side. The incident took place at 10:20 p.m. in the 8000 block of Rutherford near Ellis Street. Mr. Shaw was found shot multiple times in the driveway of a vacant house.
The unsolved murder is painful for the family and they're also asking for the public's help. Shaw's mother Jacqulyn Shaw explained, "It's just the not knowing. It's a terrifying feeling."
Shaw's brother Larico Andre admits that there may be few clues in the case. "He may know the person that committed the crime and that's particularly devastating to us because to think you could be riding with that person right now," said Andre.
Shaw's aunt Kimberly Foster spoke of her late nephew's character saying, "To know Andre was to love him. He was the kind of man to do anything from anybody."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers. There is a reward of $2500.
