Khang's Blog: Peyton Manning The NFL's MVP?
I know you have to technically play to be eligible for the NFL MVP award, but the Indianapolis Colt's Peyton Manning is making a very strong case for the award this year, even though he hasn't played one down. The Colts are the only team in the NFL that has yet to win a game this season. In fact, every other team in the league has won at least two games.
This team that was 10-6 last year brings back pretty much the same roster as last year, including their head coach. Just like last year's Colts, this year's Colts have had to deal with a weak running game, poor defense and nagging injuries. The biggest difference from last year's Colts and this year's Colts is the absence of Peyton Manning. We all knew Manning meant a great deal to this organization's success but who knew he meant this much?
With Manning the Colts are a perennial playoff team with a chance at winning the Super Bowl every year. Without him...apparently they're the worst team in the league.
