The Detroit Pistons faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night.
To most it was a nice victory over a playoff team, but did it matter since the Thunders' best player Kevin Durant sat out? Reggie Jackson thought so as he celebrated the victory on the court. Thunder PG Russell Westbrook took exception to it.
While meeting with reporters, Durant talked about sitting out against the Pistons, and had some choice words about the team.
"They knew I don't like sitting out... so they came to me and were like 'Bro, I know you don't want to sit this one out, but I think it would help.' So I was like I 'you don't have to ask me like that. If you want me to sit out, I'll sit out.' I definitely wanted to play. I wanted to play against Detroit for sure, but... you know. It's Detroit. You know, who cares about Detroit?"
Durant then went on to talk about Jackson's celebration.
"It was bush league, in my opinion. Jumping up and down, running around... I understand you helped them win the game, but our whole team didn't play. We'd have beat the hell out of them if we did, you know? I know I don't like that but it p***** me off. What can I do about it? Some guys are who they are. They won the game. Congrats."
All I know is I can't wait for the Pistons and Thunder to face off next season.
