Kasich Takes GOP Presidential Bid Back To New England
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Republican presidential candidate John Kasich is headed back to New England ahead of Super Tuesday.
The Ohio governor, who finished second in New Hampshire, has scheduled town halls in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Sunday and in Castleton, Vermont, and Plymouth, Massachusetts, on Monday.
It's a region of the country that has so far responded well to Kasich's folksy, down-to-earth style - and one where he has his best chances of scoring strong finishes in the mega-voting round taking place Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Kasich returns to Michigan for four days, where he's devoted significant resources. The state has a similar electorate to neighboring Ohio, which Kasich vows to win.
Michigan's primary is March 8. The Ohio primary is March 15.
Kasich spent Saturday in Tennessee.
