Join Miguel Cabrera As He Hosts "Keeping Kids In The Game" Event

DETROIT – Join Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera as he hosts the Detroit Tigers Foundation's signature annual fundraising event, the 4th Annual Keeping Kids in the Game, presented by Lear Corporation. The event is scheduled for Monday, August 20 at Comerica Park, and features exclusive ballpark and field access including self-guided tours of the home clubhouse, a dugout photo station and a private fireworks show. In addition, guests will enjoy live entertainment, extraordinary auction items and a strolling dinner along with beverages and cigars in the Tiger Club. Proceeds from the event support children's health and youth baseball programs facilitated by the Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation, the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities and the Miguel Cabrera Foundation, a charity being established by Rosangel and Miguel Cabrera.

In addition, while patrons and guests are dining and dancing in the Tiger Club, nearly 200 patients and family members from Children's Hospital of Michigan and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital will arrive at Comerica Park for a special night under the lights at the ballpark. Dinner will be served in the Brush Fire Grill and patients as well as family members will have the opportunity to enjoy access to the playing field, dugouts and clubhouse, rides on the Ferris Wheel, face painters, balloon and temporary tattoo artists, special guests – including Tigers mascot Paws – and live entertainment. The children are invited through the respective Hospital Child Life Departments and are sponsored by Tigers players who also visit, pose for pictures and sign autographs for the patients.
