Jim Harbaugh Smashes Buckeye On Bo Schembechler's Grave [PHOTOS]

The good luck rituals during Michigan-Ohio State football week are truly nuts.

Tuesday night in Ann Arbor, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh cracked a buckeye at the grave of Bo Schembechler.

Since 1997 -- the last time U-M won a national football championship -- Wolverines fans have walked through Forest Hills Cemetery in Ann Arbor during Michigan-Ohio State week to visit the graves of famous figures in the rivalry. They include Schembechler, Fielding Yost and Bob Ufer.

This year, Harbaugh made the pilgrimage and added the touch of cracking a buckeye at the grave of his former head coach.

"Getting to play for coach Schembechler, what I can tell you is this, everything I base my entire professional life on and my personal life was learned here at the University of Michigan," Harbaugh told the crowd, according to the Detroit News.

Toward the end of the night, Harbaugh led Michigan fans in reciting "The Victors" at Yost's grave.

Michigan takes on Ohio State at 12 p.m. this Saturday.
