Jeff Riger: Wings Back Home!

The Red Wings are back in Detroit after their 1st round sweep of the Phoenix Coyotes and now the plan is simple, rest then focus. The team could have up to 8 days to get healthy before starting the Western Conference semi-finals sometime next weekend. As for this weekend, the Wings will hold a light practice today then take Saturday and Sunday off before truly gearing up for their next opponent next week. As for that opponent, it seems like it will continue to be a re-match of last year as the San Jose Sharks lead their series 3 games to 1 over the LA Kings and if they win they will play Detroit in the 2nd round. Now if the Kings come back with an improbable series win or the Blackhawks come back and beat the Canucks then Detroit will get the winner of Nashville and Anaheim. Follow all that? I figured!

Watch the videos below of Ken Holland and Nick Lidstrom from when the team got off the plane at the airport.
