Jameis Winston Praises Harbaugh, Says Michigan 'Much More Advanced' Than Florida State
By Mike Sullivan
Former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been training at the University of Michigan along with former Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty.
The two have been working out in Ann Arbor with quarterback guru George Whitfield. They were on campus from Sunday until Tuesday preparing for the NFL Combine.
Today, MGoBlue.com released a video which showcases their time at U of M, and includes footage of a discussion with Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh.
Winston, the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner and national champion, had nothing but praise for Harbaugh and the University of Michigan.
"It was a blessing to meet a guy like that (Harbaugh.) It was just an honor to meet him, and all of his accomplishments, and the type of coach he is," he said. "I wish I could've played for him."
Winston also talked about how much more advanced Michigan's facilities are than Florida State's.
"Florida State, we're a very prestigious school, we have nice stuff, but we don't have this. I'm sorry, I love Florida State. Go Noles til the day I die. But they're so much more advanced than us."
Petty spoke very highly of Michigan as well. "This is definitely, by far, one of the nicest (facilities) I've seen," he said.
Both quarterbacks seemed to enjoy their time in Ann Arbor. They even played basketball in the campus intramural gym yesterday before attending the Michigan vs Michigan State basketball game.
Winston and Petty are now currently in Indianapolis at the NFL combine.
