Michigan's dream to play for a national championship was officially popped on Sunday when the Wolverines were left out of the top four in the final College Football Playoff rankings.
Jabrill Peppers said they got what they deserved.
Jake Butt and Devin Bush agreed.
To add insult to injury, the Wolverines were leapfrogged in the final rankings by Penn State, a team they trounced back in September. The Nittany Lions finished fifth, one spot ahead of Michigan, after beating Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship on Saturday night.
Again, Peppers felt this was justified.
As Bush pointed out, the difference between Michigan and Penn State is obvious.
Rather than playing for a spot in the National Championship, Michigan will take on Florida State in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
